About the Role

A leading international private bank is seeking a highly accomplished Desk Head – Swiss Romandie to lead and grow a team of senior private bankers focused on the French-speaking Swiss market.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an established market leader with a strong track record in private banking, team management, and commercial development across Swiss Romandie. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic growth, managing high-performing bankers, and further strengthening the bank’s presence with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of private bankers covering Swiss Romandie
• Define and execute the desk’s commercial strategy in line with the bank’s broader growth objectives
• Drive net new assets, revenue generation, and profitable client acquisition across the region
• Coach, mentor, and support bankers to maximize individual and team performance
• Maintain a strong personal network and market visibility within Swiss Romandie
• Ensure the highest standards of client service, risk management, and regulatory compliance
• Work closely with investment advisory, wealth planning, credit, and product specialists to deliver tailored solutions to clients
• Support hiring, onboarding, and retention of top private banking talent
• Monitor desk performance against strategic and financial objectives, taking action where required
• Act as a senior representative of the bank internally and externally

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience in private banking / wealth management, ideally with leadership responsibility
• Proven track record managing senior relationship managers or private bankers
• Strong market knowledge and network across Swiss Romandie
• Demonstrated success in acquiring and developing high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client relationships
• Strong leadership, commercial judgment, and people management skills
• Ability to lead from the front while also operating strategically
• Deep understanding of Swiss private banking standards, compliance, and risk frameworks
• Fluent French and English required; additional languages are a plus
• Swiss residency required
• Existing transferable client relationships or a strong team franchise is highly advantageous
