Agius & Partners is hiring an Assistant Relationship Manager for a fantastic private bank based in Geneva.

The Assistant Relationship Manager will handle all administrative tasks related to client files and provide administrative, organizational, and communication support to the Relationship Managers in their daily activities. This individual must be eager to contribute to the team’s success and equipped with the key capabilities to support multiple Relationship Managers. As part of a team of over 10 people, this role will support several Relationship Managers as a trusted client service officer within the External Asset Manager Department (EAM Desk).

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high-quality service and operational excellence.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in daily tasks, servicing clients, and handling administrative and operational requests.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and take immediate action.
  • Collaborate with RMs on account openings for new clients and manage account changes for existing clients.
  • Process payment and transfer transactions accurately and promptly, ensuring systematic call-backs and providing support for other transactions as needed.
  • Maintain rigorous monitoring of documentation, update client instructions, details, and preferences.
  • Build close relationships with internal partners (central file, Middle Office teams, Risk & Control functions, etc.) to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports as requested by clients, line managers, Compliance Officers, or other authorized personnel.
  • Support all periodic reviews (PEP, Low and High-Risk reviews).
  • Understand the risk management framework and become familiar with risk responsibilities within the team.
  • Ensure continuous adherence to legal guidelines, internal regulations, policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification for the role and complete all mandatory training to maintain competency and knowledge levels.

Education: Education in banking and/or finance

Professional Experience Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role, with solid knowledge in administrative documentation, KYC, onboarding, cash management, and risk & compliance matters.
  • Experience on an EAM Desk is ideal.
