Agius & Partners SA is hiring a Compliance Officer (AML) for a leading private bank based in Geneva.

This role has been created due to the expansion of the department, offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for various tasks related to AML compliance, including:

  • Conducting detailed analysis and preparing reports for account openings with higher risk profiles, as well as in-depth account reviews.
  • Preparing and presenting cases to the Diligence Committee for account openings, periodic reviews, and ad-hoc analysis, while ensuring proper documentation of the Committee’s actions.
  • Monitoring sanctions-related matters and carrying out ad-hoc analyses.
  • Preparing reports and communication files for regulatory authorities.
  • Reviewing alerts related to customer base screenings and transactions.
  • Managing cases concerning unclaimed or contactless assets.
  • Ensuring regulatory framework documents are up to date.
  • Actively participating in steering committees for compliance-related projects.
  • Serving as a key contact for internal and external auditors regarding AML compliance.
  • Providing guidance and support to the Front Office and other banking departments.

Profile & Qualifications

  • University degree, with a Master’s in Economics or Law considered an asset.
  • CAS in General Compliance or equivalent postgraduate training is a plus.
  • At least three years of experience in an AML compliance role.
  • Strong understanding of Swiss banking regulations.
  • Independent and analytical mindset, with a solution-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational and writing skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proactive, dynamic, and service-oriented, with the ability to manage stress and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable using office IT tools.

Language Requirements

  • Native French speaker with a strong command of English.
